The Soehnle (pronounced ‘Zernler’) company was founded in 1868, in Murrhardt, Germany, to produce analogue scales for both domestic and business use.

In 2001, Soehnle was acquired by Leifheit, the largest home and kitchenwares company in Germany and one of the largest in Europe.

Leifheit’s annual turnover stands at €296M (£197M), with household products accounting for €225M (£150M).

Europe’s largest supplier of domestic scales, Soehnle accounts for 23% of Leifheit’s total sales of household products, and has an annual turnover of €52M (£35M).

Soehnle holds a 65% share of the Kitchen scale market and a 48% share of the bathroom scale market in Germany.

Soehnle produces a wide range of premium kitchen and bathroom scales encompassing traditional analogue and state of the art digital displays.

Soehnle launched innovative digital nutritional and body analysis systems in 2000 in response to ever-increasing consumer interest in health and body wellness.

Designed exclusively in Germany, Soehnle products combine exceptional accuracy and reliability with the highest level of technological design and innovation.

Soehnle exports over 65% of its products to more than 80 countries throughout the world.
