Gary Rhodes Demonstrates Innovative ARC42 Cookware Range at Harrods’ Truly British Showcase
Leading British chef, Gary Rhodes, demonstrated arc42, the revolutionary new cookware range designed to prevent wrist soreness as part of Harrods’ Truly British extravaganza on 1 October. The Michelin-starred restaurateur, author and celebrity chef of Hell’s Kitchen fame first encountered arc42 in 2003 and offered to test and develop the range for its inventor, Mo B’ham, Managing Director of Imperial, the UK’s fastest growing home and kitchenware's supplier.
“When I first picked up an arc42 saucepan, I knew it was a revolution,” says Gary. “The ergonomic angled handle feels so natural and gives great control, even when fully laden. This is a great example of British innovation.”
Gary and his wife Jennie, also a chef, experimented with the arc42 cookware range in their home and now use the products extensively.
Jennie joined Gary for the two-hour Harrods Truly British cookery demonstration to cook three dishes, giving the capacity audience a great insight into the versatility and user-friendly design features of arc42. The showcase event concluded with a book signing during which Gary sold 50 signed copies of his new cookery book, Keeping it Simple, in less than half an hour.
“Harrods was one of the first retailers to stock arc42 and I’am delighted it chose arc42 to feature in the Truly British showcase,” says John Newcomb, commercial director of Imperial. He continues, “We were honoured that Harrods also chose Arc42 to feature in the commemorative window display alongside iconic British brands such as British Airways, Burberry, McLaren, Paul Smith and Triumph. The event was an excellent opportunity to present the benefits of our revolutionary new cookware range and consumers enjoyed hearing about Gary’s unique role in its development.
