- Ready Steady Cook sizzled onto BBC TWO screens on October 24th 1994
- The show is now in its 18th Series and has been on air for 14 years
The show is regularly watched by an average of 2 Million viewers on weekdays at 4.30pm
- Gifted chefs Alex Mackay, Garrey Dawson and Richard Phillips joined the Ready Steady Cook chef family in 2007 and took up residency in the world famous kitchen. Each brings a wealth of gastronomic experience from Michelin starred eateries and have worked with the likes of Raymond Blanc, Marco Pierre White and Heston Blumenthal
- James Martin scooped the Guinness World Record for the fastest carrot chopping in 2006 - he peeled and chopped 515g of carrots in one minute during a Ready Steady Cook Children in Need Special
- Ready Steady Cook has attracted a whole host of celebrities over the past few years including Dancing on Ice’s Jason Gardiner and Bonnie Langford, Strictly Come Dancing judges Arlene Phillips and Craig Revel-Horwood, How To Look Good Naked presenter Gok Wan and Celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford and eccentric couple Neil and Christine Hamilton
- The show has been a huge success internationally. The series has aired in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Italy, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Spain, the Middle East, the Netherlands, USA, New Zealand, Canada, Belgium, Serbia and Montenegro, South Africa, Croatia, Slovenia and France
