SPIRELLA FACT SHEET
- Spirella was founded in 1958 by Anton Heuberger and was the first company to introduce shower curtains and curtain rods to Switzerland.
- In 1988 Spirella became part of the Leifheit group, one of the largest kitchen and bathroom suppliers in Europe.
- Through innovation and technical development, Spirella implemented the first and only fully automated shower curtain production facility in Europe in 1999
- Over the years the Spirella product range evolved into a comprehensive collection including bath mats, safety mats, shower head etc.
- Further development saw the launch of stand-alone bathroom accessories and wall mounted accessories in 2002 and 2003.
- In 2008 Spirella launched an exciting new shop display concept using colour and themes, creating an explosion of colour and powerful displays.
- Spirella is one of Europe’s leading bathroom accessory suppliers with its own production plant in Switzerland, with 177 full time employees.
- Spirella’s market share in Switzerland is 65%, and delivering to 60 countries worldwide, last year saw turnover of £50m.
- Today Spirella generates one third of turnover with shower curtains, one third with the stand-alone and wall mounted accessories and the final third with the balance of the Spirella portfolio.
- Spirella has one of the largest in-house designed stand-alone accessory ranges in Europe and the widest range of shower curtain designs available. From classic to trendy, from textiles to ceramics, all tastes in design and colour are included in the Spirella collections.
