Imperial Celebrates Partnership with Robert Dyas

Imperial Celebrates Partnership with Robert Dyas

Building on the success of a number of product launches at Spring Fair, Birmingham, including arc42TM, a revolutionary new cookware range designed to relieve the strain of heavy lifting, leading home and kitchenware's supplier Imperial International is strengthening its relationship with major homewares retailer, Robert Dyas.

Imperial International has been supplying the South of England multiple retailer with products across a number of category areas since the end of last year. Following its Spring Fair success, Imperial is now looking forward to growing its business substantially with Robert Dyas in 2005.

John Newcomb, Imperial’s commercial director, says: “We greatly value our relationship with Robert Dyas. With over 85 stores in the south of England, we appreciate the major retail opportunity that this partnership has created.

During Spring Fair, Imperial’s many visitors welcomed the opportunity to talk to Gary Rhodes about the innovative arc42TM range and particularly the celebrity chef’s unique role in its development. Having seen the arc42TM concept in 2003, Gary offered to test and develop the products for Imperial. He and his wife Jennie, who is also a chef, experimented with the product in their home and are now using the new product extensively. The definitive arc42TM design incorporates their invaluable input and the words ‘tested and approved by Gary Rhodes’ appear on all product packaging. “When I first picked up an arc42TM saucepan, I knew it was a revolution. The ergonomic angled handle feels so natural and gives great control, even when fully laden. This is a great example of British innovation,” says Gary.

Leigh Martin, commercial director of Robert Dyas, was selected at random to receive a signed copy Gary Rhodes’ The Complete Cookery Year. “Presenting Leigh with the arc42TM launch prize draw was the perfect opportunity to celebrate our joining forces with one of Britain’s major players in the housewares industry and one of Britain’s most respected celebrity chefs,” concludes Jon Newcomb.
