BBC Worldwide Announces Deal


BBC WORLDWIDE ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE FIVE YEAR DEAL FOR BBC GOOD FOOD AND BBC EASY COOK KITCHENWARE

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, today announced at Spring Fair an exclusive five year deal with Imperial, the UK's fastest growing home and kitchenware supplier, to launch BBC Good Food and BBC Easy Cook branded kitchenware. BBC Good Food and Easy Cook magazines are leading food & drink magazines in the UK market published by BBC Worldwide.

The BBC Good Food branded kitchenware deal will be available in the UK and Eire, Romania, the Middle East, Turkey and Australia with BBC Easy Cook brands available in the UK and Eire. Both ranges are to include cookware, ovenware, bakeware, kitchen textiles, kitchen knives, tools and gadgets, kitchen scales and stove top kettles.

Imperial will also sub license a number of specialised categories including woodware, oven to tableware and microwave cookware.

Launching at Spring Fair, the BBC Good Food kitchenware brand is targeted at department stores and independent cook shops for which Imperial have designed and developed a range of professional pans. The first is a stainless steel 5 piece saucepan set, comprising 14cm milk pan; 16, 18, 20cm saucepans and a 24cm fry pan, retailing at £125.00.

Alongside this set is a range of non-stick forged aluminium pans, from 14cm milk pan to casserole and sauté pans, retailing from £15.00 to £25.00, as well as a 5 piece set, comprising 14cm milk pan, 16, 18, 20cm saucepans and a 24cm fry pan to retail at £75.00.

Seen exclusively for the first time in the UK under the BBC Good Food brand, Imperial also presents at Spring Fair, ‘Active Grip’ - a full range of kitchen tools and gadgets with the ‘Active Grip’ handle. The range will retail from £4.99 each.

Also on display at Spring Fair is the BBC Easy Cook branded range targeted at independent hardware retailers and high street multiples. Imperial have designed and developed a stainless steel 5 piece saucepan set with comfort grip handles and pouring system. The set comprises a 14cm milk pan; 16, 18, 20cm saucepans and 24cm fry pan and retails at £49.99.

To compliment these saucepans, Imperial will also be previewing a comprehensive range of stainless steel and nylon kitchen tools and gadgets, retailing from £2.99.
